Adeola Lawal – Portraits and the figure

Ever since my GCSE’s, I have always preferred working in tone, enjoying the aesthetic of monochromic work. After broad initial investigations covering, pregnancy, identity and my own heritage, my ideas became increasingly focused on the way liquid can be used to subtly distort the human form. My large-scale tonal outcomes reflected my journey towards this realisation.
