Lilly Harper – Natural forms

After initial investigations looking at a variety of natural forms, my ideas became increasingly focused on environmental issues such as coral bleaching due to pollution and global warming. As an artist keen to use the textiles skills gained in previous years, I developed an installation piece fusing both textile design, experimental mixed media and ceramics. The final outcome has been designed to let light through to interact with the varying textures of clay, thin fabric and melted plastic.
